A grade is used to determine the type of log product being produced and carted.

When dockets are being sent electronically, the fields need to be correct for Grade only, Length, Species, and classification.  It is very important to be consistent with grade setup and naming conventions eg 3.94m cut grade vs 3.8m export length.

 

A suggested convention looks like species, grade eg A, length eg 3.9m ie R A 3.94m

 

You can search for specific grades by using the “Name” box.
You can edit/update grade information by clicking on the required grade.

These species of tree will corollate with log grades.

You can set up multiple species to use within harvest areas and grades.

A Lead Distance is the record the distance from pickup point to delivery point for rate purposes.

The lead distance is used to apply the correct rate from the kilometer rates table set for the specific client.  A journey rate can also be used that either relates to a rate schedule or quoted rate.

To create a new forest.
1. Click New forest.
2. Add forest information.

3. Click Create to save the new forest.
(An ID will automatically be generated for the new forest.)

2. Add OPID information

3. Click Create to save the new OPID.
(An ID will automatically be generated for the new grade.)

To create a new landing.

1. Click New Landing.
2. Enter new landing information
3. The required fields are Number, Description, Operation, and OPID.
4. To save the new landing click create.
5. Once a new landing has been created, if the Crew App and Stocks are being used you can then add the grades that will be produced and stock reported from this landing.
